ELibM
The Electronic Library in Mathematics (ELibM) offered through the European Mathematical Information Service (EMIS) is an open access virtual mathematics library. It was founded in 1995 by the European Mathematical Society (EMS) and installed in cooperation with FIZ Karlsruhe. The aim is to provide centralized access to all freely accessible electronic journals or electronic versions of printed journals in mathematics. At present (in 2007) more than 70 journals with a total of more than 20,000 articles are available from the ELibM and linked with Zentralblatt MATH. In addition, some monographs, collected works, collections of papers, and other web offers in mathematics are available.
For a publication to be included in the ELibM, it has to be freely accessible and available on a permanent basis. The availability of the content of the ELibM is improved by a system of more than 40 mirror sites world-wide. The search facilities offered by the portal give quicker access to the content in comparison to the previous navigation through lists of journals, volumes and articles.
